The Animation Fan-Subtitle History In the Western World

Is kind of interesting show that was made by Anime Fansub Documentary. The show seems like a school project because it is very details that even give people quotes from the books.

  1. haha I was going to write about it. This is definitely not a school project – the guy is a professional translator in his 30s. I disagree with his views though, but I’ll write up a complete report sometime later.

  2. First of all, thanks for telling it is not a school project. Back on the topic, I am kind of agree with what the videos say since I do not think some of the translators do a good job at translating Japanese. Most of the times I will pick the Chinese translated fan-subtitle instead of the English one because I know how to read Chinese. The meaning of the Chinese words or culture is kind of similar or close to Japanese words and culture. Sometimes when I read the English fan-subtitle on comics or animations, I will not fully understand the meanings of them. So, I have to read the Chinese fan-subtitle version again. However, it just my own opinion, may be I am not good at reading in English.
